How debate publication works

Before a debate

The setting is off by default. A debate is a public-archive candidate only when both participants are 18 or older, have public profiles, enabled publication before the match, and enter through normal video or chat matchmaking. Enabling the setting later never publishes an earlier debate.

What may become public

A featured page contains the resolution, usernames, avatars, public profile links, transcript, Judge result and scores, comments, and reaction counts. Arguva does not publish debate audio or video in this version.

Candidate debates publish only after transcript completeness, participation, Judge confidence, quality, topic, personal-information, and moderation checks pass. Selection means the debate met archive quality standards; it is not an endorsement of either participant's factual claims.

Removing a debate

Either participant can unpublish a featured debate without the other participant's approval. Turning off account publication or making a profile private also removes every affected debate immediately. Public pages and share links then return unavailable, while participants retain their private transcript and Judge results. Re-enabling a setting does not republish removed debates.
